Yam Bake

Yam, the vegetable has a rough skin which is difficult to peel, but which softens after heating. The skins vary in color from dark brown to light pink. |
Ingredients
- ½ cup of flour
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup oats (not cooked)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 cup of butter
- 2 (20 oz.) cans whole yams
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 1 ½ cup of mini marshmallows
Methods/steps
- Combine dry ingredients together.
- Slice in butter into mixture, until it looks like crumbs.
- Toss 1 cup of the crumbs with the yams and cranberries and place into 1 ½ quart casserole dish.
- Top with leftover crumbs.
- Bake at 350 for 35 minutes
- Sprinkle with 1½ cups of marshmallows and broil until lightly browned.
