Stuffed Pita

Pita (also called and less commonly known as pitta or pide (Turkish), pitka (Bulgarian) and pronounced "pitta" in Greek) is an often round, brown, wheat flatbread made with yeast. |
Ingredients
- 2 - 3oz boneless skinless chicken tenderloins - cooked and chopped
- 12 baby spinach leaves – stems removed
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped salted peanuts
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp honey mustard
- 2 whole pita pocket breads
Methods/steps
- In a large bowl, add chicken pieces, spinach leaves, cheese and peanuts.
- In another bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and mustard.
- Add wet mixture to chicken mixture and stir to combine.
- Cut the pitas in half.
- Divide filling equally and stuff in pita pockets.
