Makes
2

  • Measuring cups and spoonsCutting board
  • Small, sharp knife
  • 2 small mixing bowls
  • 2 table forks
  • Small nonstick frying pan
  • Pot holders
  • Heatproof, flexible spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
  • Thyme, basil or parsley
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt, pinch of pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Methods/steps

  1. Take your small mixing bowl and mix cream cheese and all herbs. Use your table fork to mix and set it aside.
  2. In another small bowl combine; eggs, water, salt and pepper. Whisk together until blended.
  3. Turn burner to medium-low and melt butter in pan. Let the butter cover the bottom of the pan.
  4. Pour egg-mix in pan. Edges will begin to look done in about 30-60 seconds.
  5. Use your spatula, lift up one side of the egg and tilt your pan towards that side so left over liquid will travel to that tilted side. Repeat until NO liquid is visible.
  6. Add cream cheese mix to one side of the omelet.
  7. Use the spatula to fold the omelet in half.
  8. Slide your omelet onto the plate.
