Makes
4

  • Measuring Spoons
  • Cutting Board
  • Knife
  • 1 Mixing Bowl
  • Fork
  • Large Frying Pan
  • Spatula
  • Pot Holders
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 1 Package of Ground Beef
  • 1/2 Cup Seasoned Dry Bread Crumbs
  • 1/3 Cup Mild
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 Tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Pepper
  • Your Choice of Toppings (such as onion and tomato used in this recipe)
  • Bun of your Choice

Methods/steps

  1. Begin preparing your toppings for your burger (for example: onions and tomato like Stephanie)
  2. Chop onion and peel away outer layer to remove skin
  3. Then slice tomato into thin, even slices and set aside
  4. In mixing bowl, add ½ cup breadcrumbs, 1/3 cup milk, 3 tablespoons ketchup, 1 egg, ½ teaspoon salt, ¼ teaspoon pepper, and mix together until well blended
  5. Add 1 lb. ground beef to mixture and gently fold meat into mixture (don’t squeeze too hard or your patties will turn out too tough)
  6. Once mixed, gather meat into a decent-sized ball and flatten into however big of a patty you’d like. Tuck in sides so that they don’t fall off when you fry
  7. Turn stove on to medium heat, pour 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in frying pan to coat the bottom so the patties don’t stick
  8. Cook patties for about 5 minutes until bottoms are brown, then flip
  9. Prepare buns while patties finish. Add toppings, and whatever condiments you like
  10. To check the doneness of patties, cut a sliver in the center just big enough for you to take a peek. If there is no more pink, then you are good to go
  11. With your spatula, carefully place patties on the buns, and dig in!

Oh my, these are my favorite. I had a bbq at my house and made these burgers. Wow, they were to die for. So yummy and light. I used a wheat bun :)
