Ingredients
- 4 Medium Sized apples (peeled, cored and diced)
- 3/4 cup Date Sugar or Pure Maple Syrup (Raw Sugar will work as well but use a full cup)
- 1 ½ Cups Filtered Water
- ½ Teaspoon cinnamon for each serving
Methods/steps
- Bring water to a boil and add the sugar or syrup to dissolve completely.
- Add the apples cover and simmer over med-low heat until tender.
- Remove from heat.
- Using a potato masher, crush the apples to a desired consistency.
- For smoother applesauce push the mixture through a sieve.
- Just before serving sprinkle a ½ teaspoon of cinnamon on top and enjoy.
